Mobile CT vehicles bring screening and diagnostic imaging to selected locations. A dedicated imaging and control-room layout supports whole-body examinations within the capabilities of the installed scanner.
Onsite imaging can reduce the need to transport patients to a fixed imaging department. Infection-control arrangements, image quality and clinical use are determined by the selected system and operating protocol.
